Having had a previous hypnotherapy experience, I was sceptical about the benefits of this treatment. Rachel immediately made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I felt I was in a safe environment to be able discuss issues and explore without judgement. My scepticism was dispelled when she explained how the techniques actually work and laid out the expectations of how I would feel and respond.

It was a relaxing, calming experience and Rachel has a very soothing voice, which lends itself perfectly to this kind of therapy. After the first session I immediately felt lighter, I couldn’t explain why but I looked forward to next session.

Rachel immediately put me at ease with her caring, friendly, and non-judgmental approach. The script was so soothing, the words wise and beautifully spoken. I found it so relaxing. Having visualised that calm, safe, peaceful place so many times my mind can now quickly get there when I feel overwhelmed and it is immediately calming.

I found it enlightening when you heard something I said about my week or an observation I had had and reflected back on why I might be feeling that way. For example I said I found rivers in forests particularly comforting but get panicked and uncomfortable if I’m in built up areas or rocky/sandy places for a long time and you suggested that this might be related to our primary days where lush ground was important for shelter, sustenance and survival.

I felt you listened fully and reflected back often. This made it feel such a personalised approach and that you were really motivated to help me gain understanding, enlightenment and work towards a positive future. I felt your positive regard and empathy and your sessions were empowering and uplifting. It was great to be reminded that the past is in the past- I have survived it and now is what matters. It was affirming to hear that I can paint my own picture with positivity and how I choose.

Since working with Rachel I have achieved so many things! I have returned to full time employment in a role which I really enjoy and am thriving in. I have improved my savings which has allowed me to get my new dream car and be on my way to buying my first property.
